Bow Maker

Emmanuel Bégin began his training at the age of 14 with his father, bow maker Louis Bégin. After a few years working in Montréal, Emmanuel went to France to work for Yannick Le Canu in Lille. He now works in the countryside near Montréal, making bows for players around the globe. Prizes: Certificates of Merit (vn & vc) VSA 2010 Gold Medal (vc) and Certificates of Merit (vn & va) VSA 2012; Two Gold Medals VSA 2014 (vn & db) and two Certificates of Merit (va & vc). 2 First Prizes for a violin bow and a First Prize for a cello bow at the 2016 Darling Competition in Amsterdam. Gold Medals for violin, viola and cello bows at VSA in 2016. “Hors concours” VSA 2016.
