Julia Maria Pasch is working towards a new tonal understanding in violin
making. Having reached the conclusion that merely copying instruments by
masters such as Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri is an outdated
practice, she shifts her focus towards a contemporary approach to the
construction of her instruments. In doing so, she concentrates on the
intensive tonal work between musician, violin maker and instrument in
order to overcome the historical boundaries.
"Pasch is regarded as a master of her art." (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
"Three soloists have already exchanged their Stradivarius for a Pasch by
choice." (SWR1)
