Biography
Derek High graduated from the Welsh School of Violin-Making and Repair in 1983.
Following some years of self-employment in Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved to Reutlingen in Germany to work at the then renowned World of Basses workshop, remaining there for 20 years before becoming self-employed once more.
Although kept extremely busy with repair and restoration work, he still finds time to continue with making new basses.
