Biography

We are Emma Draghi Poggi and Milos Seyda, fine luthiers based in Pisa, Tuscany.

We initially trained in Cremona and further developed our craft under renowned makers around the world, including Davide Sora, Patrick Robin, Luca Salvadori, Piotr Pielaszek, Luiz Amorim, and Francis Kuttner.

Our work has been recognized with several international awards in violin making competitions, including:

• Bronze Medal, Triennale di Cremona 2024
• Bronze Medal, VSA 2024
• Silver Medal, Mirecourt 2023

As conservatory graduated cellists, we deeply understand the acoustic needs of musicians. While still performing in orchestras and ensembles, we constantly strive to create instruments that bring out the best possible sound.

To continuously improve through sharing with colleagues and musicians, we consider it essential to take part in international competitions, collaborations, internships, workshops, exhibitions, and festivals.

We believe we are stronger together. By complementing one another, we push each other to excel, enhancing our craft and creating something greater than we could achieve alone.

After a decade in Cremona, we chose to move to Tuscany to live in closer contact with nature and draw inspiration from it.
We established our atelier in the Tuscan hills; here, we work with passion and dedication, in harmony with the silence of the countryside.

Each instrument is handcrafted with the utmost care for sound and shape; our aim is to continuously evolve and stay in tune with the latest advancements in violin making.
